šŸ‘‘ The Crown of Mosta Dome šŸ‘‘

Hanging beneath the entrance to the Mosta Dome is one of the church's most distinctive features—a magnificent ceremonial crown. Suspended between the beautifully carved stone columns, it symbolises the Queenship of the Virgin Mary, to whom the church is dedicated.

The entrance itself offers a glimpse of the exceptional craftsmanship found throughout the Rotunda. The elegant arches, detailed capitals, and warm Maltese limestone create a fitting introduction to one of the country's most impressive churches.

Dedicated to the Assumption of Our Lady, the Mosta Dome is not only renowned for its remarkable architecture and one of Europe's largest unsupported domes, but also for its important place in Malta's religious and cultural heritage.
